"Dusty Attic" Advent Calendar

I have had one of these Dusty Attic Advent Calendars in my stash for over a year. When Becci said she was going to take pre-orders for some new Dusty Attic products including the Advent Calendar I decided that it was about time that I got it out and completed it. I have had an idea of what I wanted to do ever since I brought it as at the same time I also purchased 2 of the inserts to go inside. (Christmas Village & Christmas trees)
I pretty much embossed everything on the inserts which was pretty time consuming but well worth it with the end result.
I used some Texture paste to make the ground look like snow and then while it was still wet added some Mica Flakes to add a bit of sparkle to the snow.
The little drawers are all covered using paper from the Tim Holtz seasonal paper collection.
I also embossed all the numbers that are then glued on the drawers.

"Magnolia Grove" Trinket box ( Design Team project for Becci's Beads & Crafts)

I love the new paper collection "Magnolia Grove" from Kaisercraft. So I decided to make an cute and very easy off the page project using some of these beautiful papers that Becci sent me recently.
These are great for a really personal thankyou gift or can be done as cute little jewellery boxes for little or big girls or do as I do each year.....make them up in Christmas paper and fill with chocolates for the kids to give to their teachers.
This is the end result of this Trinket box made using the Magnolia Grove 6 1/2'' paper pad.
I have only used 4 sheets of paper from the paper pad.
I painted the box with Kaisercraft Dusty pink paint and when dry coated  the pink areas on the outside of the box in Tim Holtz Rock Candy Crackle.
I have also used a Kaiser bling flourish which I cut.
I have also used some of the Magnolia grove collectables on the top of the box along with some Kaiser mini blooms in the Dusty Pink.
The wooden leaves are also Kaiser which I have embossed with a 2 toned embossing powder.
Around the outside edges of the box and the lid are pink bling strips from Kaisercraft.
Nearly all of the  products I used to make this beautiful trinket box can be found in Beccis store.

"Christmas TO DO list Journal" (Design Team Project for Becci's Beads & Crafts)

Becci sent me some of the beautiful new Christmas paper collections that Kaisercraft has just released.
I have to admit that I have not done many Christmas layouts, when it comes to Christmas paper I think I really like to use it in Beyond the Page projects.
I decided to do a cute little Christmas "To Do " list Journal.
We all know how busy Christmas time can be, well here is a journal where you can write down all those things that sometimes we forget to do or just need a reminder to remember to do.
The Christmas card list, the present list, the seating plan, the christmas shopping food list....ooohh its endless......
and this would make a fantastic gift also.....

So the items that I have used are -
Kaisercraft Journal
"Turtle Dove" - Partridge paper
"Turtle Dove" - Drummers paper
"Merry Christmas" wood words
"Turtle Dove" collectables
album rings
ribbon, metal flourish, red brad and small brass bells are from my own stash but the above products are Kaisercraft and available from "Becci's Beads & Crafts"
I also embossed the edges of the journal in HollyBerry/ Red Gold embossing powder. This is the 2 toned embossing powder from Lindy's stamp gang ( moonglow)

"Sweet Nothings" - FAMILY - LO (Design Team Project for Becci's Beads & Crafts)

This is my 2nd layout using the "Sweet Nothings Collection from Kaisercraft. I was really happy with how it turned out. I only used 1 sheet of paper and the rest was done using scraps of Sweet Nothings paper that I had left over from another project.

"Sweet Nothings"- MEMORIES - LO (Design Team project for Becci's Beads & Crafts)

Becci asked me to do a couple of LO using the "Sweet Nothings" collection from Kaisercraft.
This is one of my all time favourite collections of paper.
I have used it before on the beautiful card box that I made for my good friend Angie.
I have done 2 layouts so far using this collection.
Don't forget you can purchase this collection and others in Becci's store.

"Cassowary"

We have a beautiful little art shop here in Tully and the lady who runs it (Mrs Anne Kent) is the most amazing artist who also teaches art classes.
Tully is know for its Cassowaries so Anne makes them in all sizes and sells them in her shop, she also teaches how to make them so Justin and I spent the last 2 Friday mornings down in the art shop getting messy but omg having lots of fun and just love my little Cassowary

"Cowboy Canvas" with Scrap FX chippies

This canvas has been a work in progress for a while.
I wanted to do a canvas for my youngest son, Justin Colter to put above his bed.
I used lots of Scrap Fx chippies which I have altered with my all time favourite embossing powder.

I have used a fairly large canvas which I inked with Distress ink around the edges.
I then used a large piece of tissue paper whch I stamped randomly with different stamps that were a little bit cowboy or old looking.
Next was to carefully tear the tissue paper around the edges to gie it a distressed look and then carefully modpodge it onto the canvas.
After it was dry I ink it all over with distress ink.
I used a bit of 12x12 paper that was ina  cowboy theme which I distressed the edges on, under the paper is some Tim Holtz tissue paper which has just been torn and stuck down randomly.
Then the fun part of embossing all the chippies and adding the other embellishmnents...

Had so much fun doing this.

"Rockpool" card - Design team project for "Becci's beads & crafts"

I am only just getting into the card making so this is a very easy card for the beginner to make.
I have used just a plain white cardstock. I used a piece of the left over paper from when I did the storage tower. The tag and fish are the "Rockpool" collectables which I have again inked with Tim Holtz distress ink and I used the kaisercraft foam tape to stand them out from the card a bit. The happy birthday came from the "Rockpool" sticker sheet and I also stuck that on with the foam tape.

Going to try and make a few more cards, a quick project which was a lot of fun.
Don't forget you can get all your suppies from Becci's Beads & Crafts

"Rockpool" Design team projects for Becci's Beads & Crafts

Well Becci loves her " Rockpool" collection from Kaisercraft so when she sent me some goodies including the new Kaisercraft storage tower I decided to give the "Rockpool" a whirl.
I used the 12 x 12 sheets to cover the outside of the tower. The storage tower normally has 6 draws but I decided to take 2 out and just use 4 and have a little shelf instead.
What I didn't cover in paper I painted using the Kaisercraft "Seabreeze" paint and then I distressed it.

On the draws I have used paper from the small paper pad. I love these paper pads as they have coordinating papers but they usually have a bit extra, the Rockpool ones I have used have a metallic finish.
I have also used some of the "RockPool collectables. I have inked the edges using Tim Holtz distress ink. This just softens the edges a little.
around the outside I have used some of the "Rockpool" coordinating ribbon.

I used the double sided foam tape from Kaisercraft to lift them a little.

Draws
I have used a couple of seashell shapes that I have had in my stash for years.

When I was finished I coated the whole thing in Mod Podge. I have started using it on all my BTP projects as I find it helps protect it and you can easily wipe off the dust. You don't have to use Mod Podge, you could use any sort of acrylic varnish. I think that Kaisercraft have a clear varnish which would be just as good.
Now all these products can be found in Becci's store if you are keen to make your own storage tower.

Well I am so excited to be able to share that I am now on the Design Team for "Becci's Beads & Crafts".

" Christmas gift boxes"

Last year I made up these Christmas boxes using the Kaisercraft small trinket boxes.
I filled them with yummy chocolates and the kids gave them to their teacher at the ned of the year.
Planning on doing this again this year so keep an eye out for this years Christmas boxes as I plan on starting them soon.

"Horses" (using a Kaisercraft advent calendar)

I did this a while ago, it was one of the first projects I did when I got back into crafting.
I had the horse paper in mystash and kind of new what I wanted to do with it. As soon as I saw the Kaisercraft advent calendars I knew what I wanted to do. The little boxes take so long to do but it was worth it because I just love how it turned out....
planning on doing a Christmas one next.

" A mirror for Emily"

I wanted to make something special for my friends daughter Emily.
I had one of the Kaisercraft mirrors in my stash and though I could come up with something different. Rather than cover it in paper I used texture paste, paint and glimmer mist. I used Kaisercraft paper for the quote and to make the flower.
