Kaisercraft "Saturday Sketch" March #3

Daisy Emma Adamson

I am really enjoying the Kaisercraft "Saturday Sketches" as I am finally getting a few pages done for my heritage album.
For this weeks sketch I have done a photo of my great Grandmother.
I used the "These Days" collection.

Not the best photo...sorry... but I wanted to try and show the word Cherish with a close up of the embossing.
I used my all time favourite embossing powder "Moonglow".
I used 2 different shades the desert moon/copper pine and also the adobe/fire. I love the effect that this powder gives off.

I love all these cutouts from the "These Days" collection.
I inked all the edges and then I lightly put some glue on and brushed on some Donna Salazar Fairy Dust glitter (pralines & cream)

I love these new Kasiercraft floweres they are so soft and beautiful.
I also brushed on some Fairy Dust glitter on these for some extra sparkle.

As always I have used some beaded pearls on my layout. My wonderful hubby got me some more in lots of different colours on his last visit to Townsville. He is such a wonderful man, so now you will see a lot more of it on my layouts.

Scrapbook Shenanigans Design Team

Well I have had a very exciting week as I found out that I have made the "Scrapbook Shenanigans" Design team.
When I saw the email I was so excited, jumping aroung the house, I think even hubby was happy for me or he was thinking " good now she won't spend so much money on craft stuff"
So my first project has arrived in the post and I am excited to get it started this weekend.

I also recieved an email yesterday to say that I didn't make the "Scrap FX" Design Team. I didn't think I would because I didn't really have anything good to submit but hey you never know unless you have a go. But they did offer me a spot as a guest designer so to me thats just as good.

Oh and just to toot my own trumpet again...I won the Dusty Attic Feruary Sketch with my "Baldwin Family" layout...yay for me

Well time to get started on my project..will post some photos when its done.

Kaisercraft "Saturday Sketch" March #2

My entry for the Kasiercraft Saturday sketch.
This was a really simple sketch to complete so I am just wondering if I should do more on it before I upload it.

I have used the Kaisercraft wood clock and key. I love the effect that I got when I embossed these.
A while ago I came across this new embossing powder called Moon Glow. Its a 2 toned embossing powder. Firstly I embossed it with the "Midnight Pewter/Obsidian powder and when that was dry I put on some of the Desert Moon/Copper Pine powder, rubbed a bit of with my finger and then heated it again...wow...look at the effect.

The papers I have used are from the Kaisercraft "Hunt & Gather "collection.

Dusty Attic “March 2012 Sketch”

My entry for the Dusty Attic "MARCH SKETCH"
Yet again I have done a page for my family tree album...I just love, love, love doing these Heritage pages.
This is a photo of my Grandfather Erbacher as a baby. I really love these vintage baby photos.

I have used the Kaisercraft "Sweet Nothings" Collection of papers.
These papers are just gorgeous with all the little cherubs and flowers.

I have used a mixture of flowers and some Tim Holtz filmstrip.
I love to alter my chippies and have done this on the Dusty Attic Scroll#6
first I paintd it using a dabber with 3 different colours of metallics. I rubbed each colour as it was drying to give it the effect. Then I used some clear stickles and then coated it in Rock Candy distress crackle paint.

Tick Tock....Dusty Attic Clock

The Dusty Attic clock.....
well it sat in my craft cupboard for ages until we moved as I had an idea what I wanted to do but wasn't really sure.

I made the flowers using the Donna Salazar " Rose Creations die. I followed a tutorial from a very talented lady named Natasha ( moments of tranquility) to make the flowers and pretty much followed a tutorial from her as well to do the clock.
I stamped and embossed theouter frame of the clock. the bottom part I glued down torn up pieces of paper and then dry brshed it with gesso and then spritzed it with glimmer mist.

Planning on doing another one for my Mum or orders taken if anyone is interested....lol

Dusty Attic treat boxes

When I first saw these treat boxes at "Scrapbooking Shenanigans" I just fell in love with them so I decided to do them for my friends for Christmas. Of course I also filled them with chockies.

Dream, Journey, Love

When I caught up with my friend Kez at the start of 2011 in Brisbane, she was most gracious and took me to the Kaisercraft outlet at Browns Plains.
OHHH  so many ideas, anyway they had a heap of these done in store so decided to have a go, something easy to get back into the craft.

They have been painted and then I glued on the Kaisercraft stick on bling in different sizes.
I have also done one that says Create which I did a bit different and have a plan for it so will post a photo soon.

Graceful Horses calendar

This was a rare find. I was looking on FB  on one of those Buy, swap & sell sites and a lady had just posted this for sale, usually I miss out but as soon as I saw it, I wanted it. ended up costing me nearly $50 by the time I paid for postage but hey.....I had big plans.
After that it sat in my craft cupboard for a couple of months until we moved. A couple of weeks ago I decided it was time to do something with it.
Under the horse picture I used a piece of paper from the Kaisercraft "Prarie Lane" collection. I also used the same collection paper around the edge.
The hinges are Dusty Attic that I altered. I distressed the rest plus the number panels. For the number s I used the stickers from the Tim Holtz idea-ology (lost & found salvage stickers) only problem is I am short a number 23, 28 & 29 so still working on that to finish it off.
Only problem now is to find somewhere to hang it.

Kaisercraft Saturday Sketch: #1 March!

My entry for the Kaisercraft Saturday sketch.
This photo of the cane train "Moreton in Nambour was in a collection of family photos that my grandmother had.
Luke is currently obsessed with the cane trains ( must be something to do with our move to Tully) so I decided to do a layout for him.
I have used Kaisercraft "Elegance" collection papers.
I made the flowers by covering some grungeboard with the matching Kaiser papaer and the TIM Holtz "Tattered Floweres" die.
I am not sure what brand the cogs are but I ran them tru the Big shot and then painted them with bronze paint and inked them.
Just realized that I need to put the title on it so had better do that before I upload it to Kaiser website.

Samuel Mason

Life Story

Yes, its anothr page for my Family tree album.
This one a wedding photos of one of my Grandmothers brothers, Percy William Mason.
I used the Kaisercraft "English Rose" collection papers and I also used some Dusty Attic chippies that I altered. I made the large flower using the Donna Salazar "Rose Creations" die.

Dudley Mason

Recently when I was doing some family tree research I was put in touch with 1 of my Dads Uncles.
Dudley turned out to be a lovely old man who although was not able to help me out a lot with my research but was able to put me onto another family member that could.
After 10 years of research I was able to finally lay to rest (so to speak) a big mystery on one of our family members.
Dudley sent me a couple of photos and a book for me to look at. One of the photos was of him in his Army uniform for service in WW2. So as a tribute to him, decided to do a lyout with that photo.

Not sure about all the papers I have used for this layout. I know that the bottom page is a Karen Foster"old book cover"
I have also used a Dusty Attic chippie which I altered and some other findings that I had in my stash.

Home is where the Army sends us

A few years ago, a friend a Puckapunyal showed me a little house that she had had made with all their postings with the Army on it. I had never ever seen anything like it anywhere so decided to make my own. I used A Kaisercraft birdhouse and used the Kaisercraft "Military" collection papers.

Mary Ann Heath

This is another page for my Family tree Album.
I have used papers from the Kaisercraft "Duchess" collection
This was my Grandmothers Great Aunt.
I am happy that I am finally getting some pages done.
Rita - yep I did make the flower myself. I used the Donna Salazar "Rose Creations" die and used the tutorial from Natasha Naranjo Aguirre.
